All of our business coaching services are designed to assist both profit and non-profit organizations in their efforts to develop and retain valued employees in ways that are both cost and time effective.
Every year organizations spend their training budget dollars on internal and external training programs for their employees. Unfortunately, these training efforts often fall short because there is no follow-up after the training event. Without a solid plan on how to apply the new trainee’s knowledge or skills to their daily activities, most of the value of the training is derailed or lost all together. Shoreline CDS has designed a Development Coaching Model(see link below) that helps reinforce training by assisting the client organization in defining what is expected of the trainee when he or she returns from the training event. Once a development plan is established, a Shoreline CDS coach works with the employee to help keep them focused, motivated and accountable for completion of the plan. In between the scheduled coaching sessions the employee also has the opportunity to consult with their coach via email.
By providing the trainee with a development coach, the organization benefits from a much better return on their training investment and the employee enjoys the opportunity for true growth in their career and role within their organizations.
Performance Management and Enhancement
Coaching is also a powerful tool for helping employees identify and develop the skills or behaviors that must be demonstrated on the job to meet and exceed established performance expectations. Whether expectations are being met or not, Shoreline CDS coaches can work with employees and their management on improving or enhancing their overall performance or on a particular skill set.
Working on improving skills or overall performance can be time consuming and frustrating at times. Often an employee’s management does not have the time to work with an employee on performance improvement. An external coach, can take the time needed, while keeping the employee’s boss informed at every step along the way. In addition, many employee’s find themselves pressured to not make mistakes if the boss is also the coach. An external coach often can provide the opportunity and the environment to truly learn from their successes and their mistakes. This helps the employee reach a higher level of performance more quickly than working directly with their management.
Shoreline CDS can also develop and deliver coaching packages that target particular positions or levels within an organization. These customized coaching packages can be developed for:
Individual Staff Members
Teams (Project or Ad Hoc)
